2026 appears to be a year for creating pieces that expand my experience of time, especially in collision with other bodies in space. 2026 is a year of creating with openness and inviting collaboration. Spun from the vulnerable practice of automatic drawing, universal imagery such as rainbows and eyes manifest. By setting up my creative practice with openness, I’ve relinquished a steering wheel, an authority mindset, and accepted the fluctuation and redirection that immediate observation and response can produce. Releasing control allows for unexpected outcomes, interpretations, and an expansion of my understanding and observation. It seems that the more I practice the openness of automatism, the more I seem to collide in space with others, and the more I feel my existence in time. My work investigates the relationship between observation and time—how time is experienced as unreliable, layered, and shaped by the observer. Across my practice, I ask: Can we create works or spaces that engage multiple or non-linear timelines at once? Can the chaos of time be visualized?
